Getting started

Which brokers and firms work?

Tradovate only, for now: evaluation and funded prop accounts on it both work. More on Supported brokers.

How does it connect?

Through Tradovate’s own sign-in. PropClamp never sees your Tradovate password, and your balance and drawdown are read from Tradovate, never typed.

Where does it run?

In your browser. Quick Size needs a PropClamp window at least 900 pixels wide, so it sits on your desk beside your charts. On a phone, PropClamp shows what is left of your day and doesn’t size.

Does my firm allow it?

Your firm’s rules are your firm’s: check whether it allows third-party tools. PropClamp reads your accounts and never places an order; it writes one Tradovate setting only when you turn the broker stop on. Opening at launch

Your daily plan

What do I choose?

Three risk settings, in Settings › Risk plan: max trades per day (1–10), losses before the day ends (1–6), and the losing days your buffer must survive (5–60). Your session loss limit is split across the losses you allow; more losing days mean a smaller limit that lasts longer. PropClamp sizes the rest. Tighten any time; loosening starts the next trading day.

How is my daily loss limit set?

From your drawdown. PropClamp reads your balance and your firm’s floor from Tradovate. Your session loss limit is the buffer your firm gave the account, spread across the losing days you choose to survive, and each morning it shows how many of those days your buffer still covers.

Can I change the plan after I lock it?

No. Once you lock it, the plan can’t be edited: a win doesn’t refill the loss limit, and the per-trade risk never goes up. Tightening your risk plan in Settings applies as soon as you save; loosening starts the next trading day.

Does the cooldown block me at Tradovate?

No. After each loss, Quick Size waits 10 minutes before it sizes your next trade, but Tradovate still takes your orders. The broker stop acts only at your session loss limit. Opening at launch

What happens at my limit?

Quick Size shows 0 and PropClamp tells you the day is done. With the broker stop on, Tradovate also flattens and locks the account, at or just past your limit. Opening at launch

What if I’m up?

Today’s limit stays where the plan set it; what the buffer adds shows up as more losing days covered. On a funded group, NQ and ES unlock at a $5,000 buffer: up to one contract per account, plus one per extra $3,000. Evaluations size in MNQ and MES.

What does it change in Tradovate?

One setting: Tradovate’s own daily-loss auto-liquidation, set to your locked plan’s session loss limit and read back. It can’t trade for you, move money, or widen a limit your firm set, and it’s off until you turn it on.

Does it work with PropClamp closed?

Yes. Tradovate holds the setting, so at your limit Tradovate flattens and locks the account with PropClamp open or closed. Its exit is a market order: it fills at or just past your number.

What does the PIN lock?

The switch. Give the PIN to a friend and turning the broker stop off takes their PIN, or a recovery that takes at least 24 hours. It guards PropClamp’s switch, not Tradovate: you can still withdraw PropClamp’s access at Tradovate.

Can PropClamp promise I keep my next account?

No. Nothing can promise that. PropClamp shows what your locked plan allows and starts the cooldown clock after a loss. The broker stop has Tradovate flatten at or just past your session loss limit; how you trade before it is still yours. Opening at launch

Accounts and copy trading

I trade several accounts. Does that work?

Yes. Group them in Settings: each group is sized from the account with the least buffer, and one chart stop gives the contracts your plan allows per account. PropClamp reads up to 25 accounts per Tradovate login today.

I copy trades across my accounts. Does that work?

Yes, copied one-to-one. Each copied entry counts as one trade on every account, and Quick Size gives every account the same size. PropClamp reads the accounts through your Tradovate login; it never copies a trade.

Does one price cover all my accounts?

Yes. One subscription covers all the accounts and Tradovate logins you connect, after the 7 free days. There is no charge per account.

Lock your first plan before the next open.
